OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro unveiled with 9,000 mAh batteries and fans
The OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro feature displays with refresh rates of up to 185 Hz in supported games, while the Pro also offers a periscope camera with 3.5× optical zoom.
Design
The smartphones have flat metal frames and rounded corners. The cooling system’s air intake is built into the Storm Island rear camera module. Next to it is the customizable Interstellar Light Effect, which responds to games, incoming calls, and notifications.

Both models are available in black and white, with rear panels made of fiberglass composite. The Ace 7 also comes in Tempered Fire, a silver-and-orange colorway with matte AG glass, while the Ace 7 Pro is available in Windbreaker blue, with a glass back, textured pattern, and ACE lettering.
Both devices are rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K for dust and water resistance. These ratings cover different tests, including exposure to water jets, immersion, and hot water under high pressure.
Display
Both models feature a flat 6.78-inch fourth-generation BOE Oriental Screen LTPO AMOLED display. The panel uses X4 material and has a resolution of 2772×1272 pixels.

The adaptive refresh rate ranges from 1-165 Hz. Supported games can run at up to 185 Hz, but this does not mean that every game will run at 185 frames per second.
The displays are rated for 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, support 1.07 billion colors, and have a peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits. The latter figure applies to peak mode, not sustained brightness across the entire screen.
The smartphones support 3840 Hz PWM dimming and hardware-based blue light reduction. They also feature Bright Eyes Protection technology, and their screens have received TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort 5.0 certification.
Performance and cooling
The OnePlus Ace 7 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the standard Ace 7 uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series. Both platforms are manufactured using a 3 nm process. The V Series version has less cache and a cut-down GPU configuration.

Both models come with 12 or 16 GB of RAM. The Ace 7 is available with 256 or 512 GB of storage, while the Pro also comes in a 1 TB version.
Both models have three auxiliary chips: the P4 for image processing, the T3 for touch control, and the G3 for network functions in games. The T3 supports a touch sampling rate of up to 520 Hz for multi-finger input. The phones also use Wind-Chaser Gaming Engine technology.
The Dual-Path Glacier Air Cooling system combines a built-in fan, a heatsink with 13 layers of fins, and two air channels. One airflow path carries heat away from the processor area, while the other runs along the rear panel. The air intake is positioned to make it harder to cover with your fingers when holding the phone horizontally.
According to OnePlus, active cooling can lower the device’s temperature by up to 10 °C during extended gaming sessions.
Cameras
The main camera shared by both smartphones uses a 200 MP Samsung HP5 sensor with an optical format of 1/1,56 inches. The lens has an f/1.8 aperture and a 23 mm-equivalent focal length. Autofocus and optical image stabilization are also included.

The second rear camera differs between the models:
- The OnePlus Ace 7 Pro has a 50 MP periscope camera with an 80 mm-equivalent focal length, 3.5× optical zoom, and optical image stabilization. Maximum digital zoom is 120×.
- The OnePlus Ace 7 has an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
Thus, the Pro has a dedicated zoom camera but lacks the standard model’s ultra-wide-angle camera.
Both smartphones use OPPO image-processing algorithms. Their rear cameras can record video at up to 8K at 30 frames per second and 4K at 120 frames per second.
The 16 MP front camera is housed in a centered punch-hole cutout. It supports video recording at 1080p and 30 frames per second.
Battery
Both models feature 9,000 mAh Glacier Battery cells and support 100 W wired SuperVOOC charging. They also support 10 W wired reverse charging to power other devices.

Bypass charging draws power from the connected adapter directly to the smartphone’s components, reducing the battery’s involvement in supplying power. This helps limit additional heat when gaming while the phone is plugged in.
A dedicated OPPO Glacier Battery chip manages power. The company claims up to seven hours of gaming at 185 frames per second or up to 24 hours of video playback.
Software and connectivity
The smartphones ship with ColorOS 17 based on Android 17. The system includes AI Notes and AI Snap tools, as well as features for interacting with iPhones, including file transfers and sharing certain communication capabilities.
An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is built into the display. The phones support touch input with wet fingers and screen operation in the rain.
