
Redmi 17C 5G unveiled – 6000 мА·ч battery and 120Hz display for $220
The Redmi 17C 5G features a 6.9-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, a 6000 мА·ч battery, and 5G network support.
Display
Redmi 17C 5G is equipped with a 6.9-inch IPS panel with HD+ resolution (1600 × 720 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Maximum brightness is 810 nits, and the touch layer polling frequency reaches 240 Hz. Also included are reading mode, DC Dimming, and TÜV Rheinland certification. The display supports Wet Touch Technology 2.0, allowing the smartphone to be used with wet or dirty hands.

Hardware foundation
The smartphone runs on a 6nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. The amount of RAM is 4 GB LPDDR4X, and the internal storage is 64 or 128 GB UFS 2.2. Also provided is a microSD card slot.

Autonomy is ensured by a 6000 мА·ч battery with support for 33 W charging. After 1000 full charge cycles, the battery should retain at least 80% of its original capacity.
Cameras
The main camera features a 50-MP sensor with an f/1.8 lens. The front camera features an 8-Mp sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. Both cameras support video recording at 1080p and 720p resolutions at 30 frames per second. Also available are HDR, night and portrait modes.

Other
The device runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and dual SIM support are supported.
Release dates, colors, and price
Sales of the Redmi 17C 5G have already started in Singapore. The release date in India has not been announced yet. Earlier, the smartphone appeared in the database of the Indian regulator BIS under model number 2607FRNEAI, but Xiaomi has not yet confirmed its launch in this market. The device is available in black, brown, and purple colors.
In Singapore, the version with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage costs 279 Singapore dollars – approximately $220. The price of the version with 4/64 GB has not yet been disclosed.
