The OnePlus 16 was developed with a focus on mobile gaming. The smartphone features a 2nm Qualcomm processor, a screen with a refresh rate of up to 185 Hz, a 9,000 mAh battery, and a 200 MP main camera.

Design and body protection

The design of the OnePlus 16 combines clean lines with gaming elements. The glass back panel has a texture reminiscent of a starry sky. The main visual highlight is the LED lighting, which can display the number “16”, react to incoming notifications, and synchronize with music.

The body meets four water and dust protection standards: IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. This ensures resistance not only to immersion in water under certain conditions but also to high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.

Display

The OnePlus 16 is equipped with a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED screen manufactured by BOE with bezels only 1.15 mm wide. The resolution is 2771 × 1272 pixels, the refresh rate is 165 Hz with the ability to increase to 185 Hz in supported games, and the peak brightness reaches 2,000 nits. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is built into the screen.

Performance

The OnePlus 16 is powered by a 2nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor. An advanced vapor chamber cooling system is used for thermal management. According to the manufacturer, the updated design dissipates heat more effectively during prolonged loads.

Customers will be offered configurations with 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM and storage capacities ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB.

Cameras

The main camera of the OnePlus 16 includes three sensors:

  • A main camera with a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HPE sensor measuring 1/1,4 inches with optical image stabilization (OIS);
  • A 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera;
  • A periscope telephoto camera with a 50 MP Sony IMX882 sensor measuring 1/1,95 inches and 3x optical zoom.
