Rockstar Games has begun sending review copies of Grand Theft Auto VI to media outlets, according to insider NateTheHate2. This suggests that preparations for the game’s release have entered their final stage and makes another delay less likely.

According to NateTheHate2, the review embargo will lift on November 18, the day before release. Insider Gaming independently confirmed the date. Rockstar Games has not officially announced that it has begun sending out review copies or when reviews will be published.

Journalists have more than three weeks to play through GTA 6 and prepare their coverage. At the same time, distributing copies outside Rockstar increases the risk of plot and gameplay leaks. Time zone differences could also lead to spoilers: New Zealand will be among the first regions where the game becomes available on release day.

Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Preloading of digital editions will begin on November 12. A PC version of GTA 6 has not yet been officially announced.

Sending out review copies does not guarantee that the release date will not change again, but for now Rockstar continues to list November 19 as the release date.
