Xiaomi unveils Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro with 144 Hz displays and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
Xiaomi has expanded its tablet lineup with two new models – Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro. The devices feature high-resolution displays with refresh rates up to 144 Hz, support for proprietary accessories, and a suite of apps for work and content creation.
The models differ in performance, battery life, cameras, and dimensions. Both tablets support the proprietary stylus and keyboard, and the software bundle includes WPS Office and CapCut Pro.
Xiaomi Pad 9
The base model is equipped with an 11.2-inch IPS display featuring a 3:2 aspect ratio. The resolution is 3200 × 2136 pixels, and the refresh rate reaches 144 Hz. The display supports 12-bit color depth, HDR10, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision, with a peak brightness of up to 800 nits.
The display features flicker reduction and blue light level technologies. The Wet Touch function enables recognition of touches with wet fingers.
The Xiaomi Pad 9 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. The tablet is equipped with a 9720 mAh battery supporting 45 W wired charging.
The main camera has a resolution of 13 MP, and the front camera has 8 MP. The maximum video recording resolution is 1080p.
The Xiaomi Pad 9 weighs 485 grams, making it 95 grams lighter than the Pro version.
Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro
The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Compared to the base model, the tablet also features a larger screen, a higher-capacity battery, and cameras with higher resolution.
The 12.5-inch IPS display has a resolution of 3200 × 2136 pixels, an aspect ratio of 3:2, and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. Peak brightness has been increased to 1000 nits.
Like the Pad 9, the Pro version supports 12-bit color depth, HDR10, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision. It includes eye protection technology and Wet Touch for operation with wet fingers. The battery capacity is 11,000 mAh, and wired charging power is 67 W.
The main camera has a 50 MP resolution and supports 4K video recording. The front camera resolution is 32 MP.
The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro weighs 580 grams – 95 grams more than the base model.
Colors and prices
Both models are available for the Chinese market. The Xiaomi Pad 9 comes in silver, pine green, black, and peach pink colors. The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is offered in silver, pine green, and black variants.
