Lenovo has released the Legion Y700 Wuji – a compact tablet with an OLED 165 Hz display and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Legion Y700 Wuji received not only 5G network support (for the first time among compact tablets from the brand), but also a cutting-edge RGB OLED display, as well as record-breaking performance thanks to a special version of Qualcomm’s flagship processor.

Design and accessories

The device’s appearance has undergone changes: the bezels around the screen have become noticeably thinner, and the body corners are more rounded for comfortable one-handed grip. The main visual feature of the back panel is a ring-shaped RGB backlight located around the main camera module.

Specially for this model, Lenovo has prepared a line of proprietary accessories: plug-in gamepads, docking stations, and custom cases that allow transforming the device into a full-fledged portable console or mini-laptop.

Display

Lenovo Legion Y700 Wuji received an 8.4-inch RGB OLED display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels (359 ppi) and a refresh rate of 165 Hz.

The advertised peak brightness reaches 4000 nits, and to reduce eye strain, PWM dimming with a frequency of 3840 Hz is provided. Using an RGB structure without PenTile should also positively affect the clarity of small text and images.

Hardware foundation

The main feature of the tablet is the flagship platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version, manufactured using a 3-nm process. The maximum processor core frequency reaches 4.74 ГГц, and in AnTuTu the device is capable of scoring up to 4.58 million points.

The tablet is offered with LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 Pro internal storage. Buyers will have access to configurations of 12/256 GB, 16/512 GB, and 24 GB/1 TБ. Additionally, support for microSD memory cards with capacities up to 2 TБ is announced.

Autonomy is ensured by a 7470 мА·ч battery with support for 68 W charging. For extended gaming sessions, a bypass charging feature is provided – power is supplied directly to the hardware platform, bypassing the battery, which helps reduce heating and stress on the battery.

Cameras

Lenovo Legion Y700 Wuji received a 50 MP main camera with autofocus and flash. For video calls and selfies, there is a front-facing camera with a resolution of 8 MP.

Other

Among other features are two USB-C ports, 5G support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC, as well as two linear vibration motors and stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio support. Android 16 is used as the operating system.

Release dates and price

Sales of the Lenovo Legion Y700 Wuji on the Chinese market are expected to start by the end of August. Price:

• 24 GB RAM and 1 TБ storage – $1265.
