ASUS Pad T3201 released – a tablet with a Tandem OLED display for $595

ASUS has returned to the Android tablet category after several years of hiatus. The ASUS Pad, presented at Computex 2026, is now on sale in China. The tablet runs on Android 16 and bets on a dual-layer OLED display, lightweight design, and integration with other ASUS devices.

Design and Display

ASUS Pad (T3201) received a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED display with 2800 × 1840 pixels resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio, and 144 Hz refresh rate. Such a panel uses two emitting OLED layers, which allows increasing brightness and energy efficiency, as well as extending the lifespan compared to traditional single-layer OLED panels.

Typical brightness is 600 nits, and peak HDR brightness reaches 2000 nits. The screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, and the display-to-front-panel area ratio is 92%. Also certified with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Low Flicker.

The body thickness is only 6.5 mm, and the weight is 523 grams. The design uses a lightweight magnesium-aluminum alloy, and the back panel is made of fiberglass.

Performance and battery

Performance is handled by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor with a maximum frequency of up to 3.35 ГГц. The Chinese version received 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a UFS 3.1 storage with a capacity of 256 GB. Thanks to virtual memory expansion, the amount of RAM can be increased up to 16 GB. Also, a microSD card slot supporting up to 1 TБ is provided.

The battery capacity is 9000 мА·ч. Supports 45W charging via USB-C, allowing to replenish about 50% charge in 30 minutes.

Other

ASUS Pad received a 13 MP main camera with autofocus and a 5 MP front camera. Four speakers with Dolby Atmos and spatial audio support handle the sound. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are also supported.

ASUS GlideX allows you to transfer files between devices, use a tablet as an additional screen, and work with multiple devices simultaneously. The tablet also supports Circle to Search and Google Gemini features.

The device is compatible with the ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus and Bluetooth keyboards. The package includes a protective case, while the stylus and keyboard are sold separately.
