Lenovo unveiled the L16a portable monitor with laptop charging capability
The L16a Mobile Monitor is designed to be used as an additional screen for a laptop. With a 16-inch diagonal, the model weighs 970 grams and has a thickness of just 7 mm.
Screen
The Lenovo L16a is equipped with a 16-inch IPS panel featuring a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The pixel density is 142 PPI.

The screen operates at a refresh rate of 60 Hz, with a brightness of 300 nits and a static contrast ratio of 1500:1. Response time is 8 ms in standard mode and 6 ms in Extreme mode. Viewing angles reach 178° both horizontally and vertically.
The color gamut covers 45% NTSC, so the model is primarily designed for office tasks rather than professional color work. The panel displays 16.7 million colors and uses an 8-bit color representation with a 6-bit + FRC scheme. The screen has an anti-glare coating and does not support touch control.
The monitor is certified by TÜV Rheinland as Flicker Free and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light with hardware-based blue light reduction.
Chassis and stand
The thickness of the Lenovo L16a panel is 7 mm. The side and top bezels are 7.1 mm wide, while the bottom bezel is 27 mm.

The built-in stand allows adjusting the tilt angle from 0° to 90° and regulating the height within 10 mm. The monitor dimensions with the stand are up to 360 × 116,5 × 262,1 mm, and its weight is 970 grams.
The chassis is finished in Eclipse Black. The L16a has no built-in speakers, camera, or microphone.
Interfaces
Two USB Type-C ports are provided on opposite sides of the chassis for connecting to a computer or another compatible device. Both support DisplayPort 1.2 and USB Power Delivery 3.0 with up to 65 W power. Standard USB data transfer is limited to USB 2.0 speeds.
To protect the monitor from theft, a Kensington Nano Security Slot is provided.

Typical power consumption is 4.5 W, with a maximum of 5.5 W. Lenovo states compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11.
The package includes the monitor with its stand, a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable measuring 1 meter, a protective case, and a brief user manual. The device comes with a three-year limited warranty.

The Lenovo L16a Mobile Monitor was announced on September 8, 2026, and has already appeared in the Lenovo PSREF specifications database. The manufacturer has not yet announced the recommended price or exact release dates.
