iPhone 20 Pro Max to get a 7-inch display
Apple is preparing significant changes for the anniversary iPhone lineup. According to Digital Chat Station insider, future iPhone 20 Pro and iPhone 20 Pro Max models are being tested with larger displays that will be slightly curved on all four sides.
Screens will get bigger
The iPhone 20 Pro is being tested with a 6.41-inch display with a resolution of 2686 × 1236 pixels. For comparison, the iPhone 18 Pro features a 6.3-inch panel with a resolution of 2622 × 1206 pixels.
The iPhone 20 Pro Max screen could grow from its current 6.9 to 6.96 inches, and the resolution from 2868 × 1320 to 2912 × 1340 pixels.
Bend on all four sides
A more noticeable change could be the display design. Digital Chat Station claims that Apple is testing a nearly bezel-less panel with curvature on all four sides.
According to earlier leaks, this does not refer to a pronounced “waterfall” display known from some Android smartphones. The curve should be subtle and visually hide the screen bezels on the edges. It was previously reported that for the anniversary iPhone, Apple is considering special four-sided OLED panels from Samsung with micro-rounding.
Dynamic Island will become smaller
Apple likely does not plan to completely eliminate the display cutout for now. Test devices mention a reduced notch, so the area occupied by Dynamic Island may become more compact.
Earlier, the anniversary iPhone was rumored to feature a fully bezel-less display with no visible notches, but fresh information from Digital Chat Station points to a more gradual transition toward such a design.
This refers to early test samples. Until the anticipated launch of the anniversary lineup in 2027, display size, resolution, and construction may still change. It has also not been confirmed that Apple will indeed skip the iPhone 19 name and release the 2027 models as iPhone 20.
