Motorola unveiled a 30W magnetic charger for €39
At the IFA 2026 exhibition, Motorola unveiled the Moto Snap wireless charger. It features magnetic mounting and supports the Qi2.2 standard with power up to 25 W, while compatible Motorola smartphones can be charged at up to 30 W via the company’s proprietary protocol.
Fast charging and secure attachment
Moto Snap provides wireless charging of up to 25 W for Qi2.2-compatible devices. For compatible Motorola smartphones, a higher power output is specified—up to 30 W when using the proprietary charging protocol.

Maximum power is not available continuously. Motorola clarifies that it depends on the battery charge level and the capabilities of the specific smartphone, and as the battery fills up, the charging speed decreases.
The magnetic mount helps align the smartphone precisely with the charging pad and holds it in place. For this, the device must have built-in magnets or use a compatible magnetic case. Removing such a case before charging is not required, although Motorola warns that some accessories may reduce charging speed.
Moto Snap is also compatible with Qi devices, but charging power in this case depends on the specific model.
Aluminum chassis and overheating protection
Moto Snap features a slim aluminum chassis. The charger includes overheat and overcharge protection, while the power management system is designed to reduce heating during operation and support more efficient charging.

The chassis received IPX2 splash protection. However, the device is not waterproof and is not designed to withstand water jets or immersion.
Another feature of Moto Snap is zero standby power consumption. When the smartphone is not charging, the device connected to the network must not draw electricity.
The package includes a 1.5-meter braided USB-C cable. Moto Snap can also be mounted on a separate official Motorola magnetic stand, allowing the smartphone to be used while charging—for example, for watching videos or video calls. The stand is sold separately.
Release dates and price
The Motorola Moto Snap will go on sale in the coming weeks in select markets across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region. The recommended price for the accessory starts at €39.
