After the presentation of the iPhone 18 Pro and the foldable iPhone Duo, Apple raised prices on all previously released smartphones still available for sale. Thus, the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17e, and iPhone 16 all became more expensive by $100, even though the devices themselves remained unchanged.

New prices now look like this:

Apple has raised prices for the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 17e.

Thus, Apple did not traditionally lower the prices of last year’s models after the release of the new generation. On the contrary, the base iPhone 17 now costs $100 more than its original price, while the company did not present the standard iPhone 18 at the September presentation.

At the same time, Apple discontinued official sales of iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max following the launch of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The new flagships also increased in price by $100 and now start at $1199 and $1299 respectively for the 256 GB storage versions.

As a result, Apple’s current pricing lineup starts with the iPhone 17e at $699. Next come the iPhone 16 at $799, the iPhone 17 at $899, and the iPhone Air at $1099, while the new iPhone 18 Pro starts from $1199.
