Apple reports fourth-quarter 2026 results as revenue climbs to $114,5 billion
Apple reported financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, which ended September 26. Revenue reached 114.5 billion dollars, up 12% from the same period a year earlier.
The company also posted record iPhone revenue for a September quarter and record revenue from services. Apple’s net income was about $30,7 billion, compared with $27,5 billion a year earlier. Diluted earnings per share rose from $1,85 to $2,10. The fourth-quarter report was the first since John Ternus became CEO in September 2026.
iPhone and services
iPhone smartphones remained Apple’s main source of revenue. Revenue from the segment was $57,6 billion, up about 17% year over year. The company reported record iPhone revenue for a September quarter, despite supply constraints and unfavorable currency movements.

The services segment, which includes the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud and other offerings, also reached a record. Revenue totaled $31,6 billion.
Mac sales brought in $10,8 billion, up 24% from a year earlier. Meanwhile, iPad revenue fell about 10% to $6,2 billion. Revenue from wearables, home products and accessories also declined.
Research spending
In fiscal 2026, Apple spent $45,77 billion on research and development, up 32% from a year earlier ($34,55 billion). Spending totaled $11,73 billion in the final quarter alone. The increase in investment may be related in part to the development of AI and new products, although the company does not disclose exactly how the money is allocated.

Apple to pay dividend
The company’s board announced a quarterly dividend of $0,27 per share. Shareholders of record at the close of business on November 12 will be eligible to receive it. Payment is scheduled for November 16, 2026.
Apple’s operating cash flow for the quarter was about $28 billion. The company returned the same amount to shareholders through dividends and share buybacks.
