Samsung introduces Galaxy Buds On headphones for $220
The Samsung Galaxy Buds On are the brand’s first open-type wireless earbuds in a clip-on form factor. They attach around the ear and do not block the ear canal. The model combines an open design, AI features, and head gesture controls.
Design
Instead of an in-ear fit, the Galaxy Buds On use a flexible C-shaped bridge. Samsung analyzed data on various ear shapes and sizes and used computer modeling to optimize the placement of the speakers and batteries. This design distributes pressure over a larger area and helps keep the earbuds in place during movement.

The package includes a translucent charging case.
Sound and calls
The Galaxy Buds On feature TwinBoost dual drivers that enhance low frequencies. The Audio Leakage Reduction system minimizes sound leakage.
The Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform is used for audio processing. Voice communications are handled by three microphones, a bone conduction sensor, and the Intelligent Clear Call system for background noise suppression.
AI and management
The Auto Volume feature monitors ambient noise levels and automatically adjusts playback volume.

The earbuds support Gemini Live and Bixby. You can control calls using voice and head gestures: a nod accepts an incoming call, while shaking your head from side to side rejects it.
Sleep detection is also provided. If the headphones detect that the user has fallen asleep, playback will stop automatically.
Battery life
The Galaxy Buds On provide up to 9.5 hours of battery life on a single charge when playing music.
Price and release date
Sales of the Samsung Galaxy Buds On will begin in the global market on October 27. Only the black version is announced for the launch. The price is $220.
