Anker Unveils Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro – Headphones That Block Snoring

Anker has launched Soundcore Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro – sleep earbuds that can track a partner’s snoring and automatically mask it with adaptive sound. In addition to noise cancellation, the model monitors heart rate and sleep phases, while the charging case features its own AMOLED display.

Noise cancellation and snore masking

Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro combine passive noise isolation with active noise cancellation of up to approximately 30 dB. A dedicated Adaptive Snore Masking system is designed specifically for snoring: a microphone in the charging case detects it and sends a signal to the earbuds, which adjust the masking sound to match the changing noise.

For proper operation, Anker recommends placing the case no more than two meters from a sleeping person and directing the microphone toward them.

The earbud case was made as flat as possible to reduce pressure on the ear when sleeping on your side. Compared to the previous Sleep A30, the contact area with the ear has been reduced by approximately 20%.

Sleep tracking

Each earbud is equipped with an in-ear PPG sensor operating at frequencies up to 100 Hz. It tracks heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep stages, and other metrics throughout the night. Upon waking, the user receives a sleep report. Anker explicitly states that the system is not a medical device.

The BioSync function uses heart rate data to adjust calming audio during sleep onset. The system can modify the tempo of the composition, the soundscape, and binaural beats based on the user’s state. BioSync is currently considered an experimental feature.

Case with screen

The bundled SleepHub features a touch-enabled AMOLED display, its own chip, and local storage. You can adjust volume and modes, select saved sounds, set an alarm, and review sleep statistics in the morning without using a smartphone. The case supports wireless charging.

The headphones function as a standard Bluetooth headset for music, podcasts, or audiobooks. Bluetooth 6.0 support is claimed. During streaming playback, battery life reaches up to 8 hours with ANC and up to 11 hours without it. For playback of stored audio, the duration is approximately 9.5 and 14.5 hours, respectively.

Prices and release date

Anker Soundcore Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro will go on sale in the United States in November for $349. The model will be offered in Lunar White and Mist Blue colors. The company will announce prices for Europe later.

At the same time, Anker introduced the more affordable Sleep Earbuds 4. They also support ANC and adaptive snore masking, but lack PPG monitoring, BioSync, and an AMOLED display on the case. Sales will begin in October at a price of $229,99.
