Rockstar reveals new screenshots and details for GTA 6
The game map will be approximately twice the size of the world in GTA V, and notable new features will include local weather, hurricanes, and over 170 species of animals.
Map and weather
Leonida State will become Rockstar’s largest game world. The developers promise not only to increase the map size but also to improve environmental density, the number of interiors, and interactive objects.

The weather system in GTA 6 will operate locally: rain and thunderstorms will only cover specific areas. After heavy downpours, roads will remain wet with puddles, and wind will affect vegetation, water, character hair, and debris. Tropical storms and hurricanes have also been confirmed.
Animals and entertainment
GTA 6 will feature over 170 animal species, including more than 60 types of birds and over 30 mammals. Confirmed species include alligators, manatees, flamingos, pelicans, and iguanas. Some animals will be rare or legendary and can be tracked.

Players will also be offered base jumping, diving, fishing, billiards, mini-golf, kayaking, racing, motocross, and rides on jet skis and airboats.
Police and cars
The six-star wanted level will return to the game. The police will be able to take into account the character’s appearance and the crime scene, so changing clothes or hairstyles will help you escape.
Car theft will also become more difficult: some vehicles will require special tools, while expensive models will receive additional security systems and trackers.
Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version has not yet been officially announced.
