POCO X8 Power gets a 10,000 mAh battery, 100-W charging, and IP69K protection
POCO launched the X8 Power smartphone in India with a 10,000 mAh battery—the largest capacity among the brand’s models. The device is just 8.65 mm thick and offers water and dust protection up to IP69K.
Display
The POCO X8 Power features a flat 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 × 2772 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It boasts a peak brightness of up to 3500 nits, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and an instantaneous touch sampling rate of up to 3200 Hz in gaming mode. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass.
Wet Touch 2.0 is also supported, allowing the smartphone to be controlled with wet fingers.
Performance
The smartphone runs on a 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. In India, versions with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128 or 256GB storage are available. The base version uses UFS 2.2, while the 256GB variant uses UFS 4.1.
Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 has been released. POCO promises four major Android updates and six years of security updates.
Cameras
The main camera uses a 50-MP Sony IMX882 sensor with optical stabilization and an f/1.5 aperture lens. The second camera is an 8-MP ultra-wide-angle unit. A 32-MP camera is installed on the front. Both the main and front cameras support 4K video recording at 30 frames per second.
Battery
A silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 10,000 mAh supports Xiaomi HyperCharge charging at 100 W, wired reverse charging up to 27 W, and bypass charging mode, which supplies power directly to the smartphone’s components.
POCO claims up to 3.5 days of battery life, up to 29 hours of video playback, up to 45 hours of Instagram use, and up to 29 days in standby mode. These are manufacturer figures, so actual battery performance will depend on usage load and settings.
The company also states that the battery is designed to remain functional for six years of use.
Other
The chassis meets IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K protection classes. The latter ensures resistance to high-pressure and high-temperature water jets.
The smartphone weighs 229 grams and is 8.65 mm thick. It also features stereo speakers, an under-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, an IR transmitter, and Bluetooth 6.0.
The POCO X8 Power is available in black and yellow. The yellow version features a back panel with a leather-like finish.
Prices and release date
Sales of the POCO X8 Power in India will begin on September 11.

- 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage – ₹38,999, approximately $413.
At launch, discounts and bank offers totaling up to 3000 rupees, or approximately $32, are available. No announcement has been made yet regarding the release of the POCO X8 Power in other markets.
