
Philips S7221 5G gets a 120 Hz display and 5700 mAh battery for $217
Philips has launched the S7221 5G smartphone in India. The model features a 120-Hz display, a 5700 mAh battery, a 64-MP camera, and Android 16, but the screen resolution remains at HD+.
Display and Performance
The Philips S7221 5G is equipped with a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The front camera is located in a hole at the center of the screen.
The smartphone is built around a 6-nm Unisoc T765. The octa-core processor features two Cortex-A76 cores clocked up to 2.3 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.1 GHz, with Mali-G57 graphics. Versions are available with 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128 GB of storage.
Cameras and battery
The main camera features a 64-MP sensor, phase-detection autofocus, and an LED flash. It supports portrait mode and automatic scene processing. The front camera resolution is 16 MP.



The battery capacity is 5700 mAh. The smartphone supports charging up to 25 W, but the included charger is rated at 18 W.
Connectivity and Security
The Philips S7221 5G supports dual nano-SIM cards, 5G networks, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, two stereo speakers with Ultra Max mode, and a USB-C port.
The chassis meets the IP64 rating, so it is protected against dust and water splashes, but it is not designed for full immersion.
The smartphone runs on Android 16. The body dimensions are 166 × 77 × 8,95 mm, and the weight is 210 grams.
Prices and release date
The Philips S7221 5G is now available in India via Amazon:

- 8/128 GB – 22,499 rupees, approximately $238.
The smartphone is available in black, blue, and gray variants. The package also includes a USB-C cable, a protective glass screen, and a case. No information has been released yet regarding sales of the Philips S7221 5G outside India.
