Nothing Headphone (1) Pro features a body made of glass, aluminum, and titanium
Nothing has introduced the full-size Headphone (1) Pro with a three-way acoustic system, improved noise cancellation, and sound tuning by Metropolis Studios.
Design
The Headphone (1) Pro retain the design of their predecessor, but the transparent plastic panels have been replaced with 9H hardness Panda Glass. The main structure is made of aluminum, and the ear cup mounts are made of a titanium alloy. The weight is 327 grams, 2 grams less than the original model.
The headband is 10% wider, its padding is 12% thicker, and the dual-layer ear cushions are, according to Nothing, 50% softer and better suited for wearing with glasses.
The headphones are available in black and white and feature IP52 protection against dust and water splashes. The design is non-folding, and the package includes a hard case with a thermoplastic polyurethane interior lining (TPU).
Sound and audio codecs
The main difference of the Headphone (1) Pro is its three-way acoustic system. Each ear cup contains three drivers:
- 40 mm dynamic driver for bass with a dual magnetic system and a PET dome with a cermet coating;
- dynamic size of 13 × 8 mm with a PEN membrane for mid-range frequencies;
- xMEMS solid-state speaker with a silicon membrane for high frequencies.
The stated frequency range is 20 Hz–40 kHz. The headphones are Hi-Res Audio certified and support the AAC, SBC, and LDAC codecs (up to 24-bit / 96 kHz). The LC3 codec is available only for broadcasting via Auracast.
When connected via USB-C, lossless audio with a resolution of up to 24-bit / 192 kHz is supported. An analog connection via a 3.5 mm jack is also provided.
Spatial audio and settings
Headphone (1) Pro support Dynamic Spatial Audio with head tracking and five sound modes: Standard, Live House, Club, Concert Hall, and Studio B. The latter was created in collaboration with Metropolis Studios and simulates the acoustics of the studio room of the same name.
A dedicated physical switch activates Flat EQ mode, developed in collaboration with Metropolis Studios. It disables the user equalizer and spatial processing for a more neutral sound.
The Nothing X app features an advanced equalizer with custom driver tuning, Personal Sound audio adaptation, and additional presets.
Noise cancellation
The adaptive system ANC uses 10 microphones, five in each ear cup. According to Nothing, the maximum noise cancellation depth reaches 46 dB, compared to 42 dB in the original Headphone (1).
Passive isolation has been improved with an 8 mm thick silicone seal and dual-layer ear cushions. ANC automatically adjusts to ambient noise and the fit of the ear cups. There is a transparency mode, and four microphones with Clear Voice technology are used for phone calls.
Connection and control
The headphones are equipped with Bluetooth 6.1, allowing for simultaneous connection to two devices. They support Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, Auracast, and automatic pause when removed.
The chassis features physical controls: a Roller wheel for volume and ANC, a Paddle for playback, a programmable Button, and a Flat EQ switch.
Battery
The Headphone (1) Pro are equipped with a 1060 mAh battery. The stated battery life depends on the codec and noise cancellation:

In terms of battery life, the new model falls short of the original Headphone (1), which provided up to 80 hours without ANC and 35 hours with noise cancellation when using AAC.
A full charge via USB-C takes about two hours. Five minutes of fast charging provides four hours of playback without ANC or two hours with noise cancellation.
Price and release date
Sales of the Nothing Headphone (1) Pro start on September 29, 2026. In the US, the model costs $399, which is $100 more than the original Headphone (1). In Germany, the official price is €349.
