LG gram Book AI 2026 – a laptop with up to 30.5 hours of battery life
The LG gram Book AI 2026 received a 14-inch display, an Intel Core Series 3 processor, and a fully aluminum chassis.
Chassis and design
The LG gram Book AI 2026 with model number 14U40V features a fully metal aluminum chassis. With a 14-inch screen diagonal, the thickness is 14.9 mm and the weight is 1.29 kg.
This is the first 14-inch laptop in the gram Book series. The company decided to make the model more compact than previous representatives of the line, while retaining a full set of ports.
The chassis features USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, a 3.5-mm audio jack, and RJ-45 for wired network connectivity. It is increasingly rare in thin laptops and allows one to do without a separate USB adapter.
The webcam is equipped with a physical shutter that completely covers the lens.
Performance
The LG gram Book AI 2026 is based on the Intel Core Series processor of the 3rd generation from 2026, built on the Wildcat Lake architecture. LG emphasizes the energy efficiency of the platform rather than maximum performance.
In one of the initial configurations, the laptop is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and SSD for 256 GB. This configuration helped reduce the price against the backdrop of a noticeable increase in memory and other PC components in 2026.
For less demanding tasks, a quiet system cooling mode is provided. It is designed primarily for working with documents, using a browser, and watching videos in offices, libraries, and other places where low noise levels are important.
LG has not yet revealed the full list of available processors and detailed specifications for the 14-inch display.
Battery
One of the main features of the LG gram Book AI 2026 is a battery with a capacity of 61.2 Wh. According to the manufacturer, the laptop can operate for up to 30.5 hours without recharging.
This exceeds the advertised battery life of the newly presented Samsung Galaxy Book6, which was released almost simultaneously. Its manufacturer promises up to 25 hours of video playback.
At the same time, 30.5 hours is LG’s maximum figure, achieved under a specific usage scenario. At high screen brightness and under heavy load, the actual battery life will be shorter.
Windows and AI features
The laptop runs on Windows and supports the operating system’s artificial intelligence features. The keyboard features a dedicated Copilot button for quick access to Microsoft AI tools.
The pre-installed LG gram Link app allows connecting the laptop with smartphones and tablets from various manufacturers. Through it, you can transfer photos and videos, as well as use the laptop’s keyboard and trackpad to control the connected mobile device.
Duplication and extension of the workspace are supported when connecting additional screens.
Price and start of sales
Sales of the LG gram Book AI 2026 in South Korea will begin on September 7. The recommended price starts at 1.45 million won – approximately $1010. The price will depend on the selected configuration.
For comparison, the LG gram AI 2026 costs from 2.74 million won in South Korea. Thus, the new gram Book AI turned out to be approximately 1.29 million won cheaper.
LG positions the model as a more affordable alternative to its higher-end laptops against the backdrop of rising memory and other component costs. At the same time, the company did not skimp on the aluminum chassis, battery life, or range of interfaces.
In South Korea, a laptop can be not only purchased but also subscribed to for up to four years. During the term of the contract, free service maintenance is provided, and depending on the selected tariff plan, a one-time free battery and keyboard replacement is included.
