OPPO Enco Air4s unveiled: TWS earbuds with ANC and up to 43 hours of battery life

The OPPO Enco Air4s feature a classic stem design and come with a compact, rounded charging case. They combine active noise cancellation, dust and water resistance, and long battery life.

Sound and noise cancellation

The OPPO Enco Air4s feature 12.4 mm dynamic drivers with composite titanium diaphragms. Their active noise cancellation (ANC) can reduce ambient noise by up to 32 dB.

Transparency mode uses external microphones to let you hear your surroundings and conversations without removing the earbuds. Two microphones and AI algorithms suppress wind and other background noise during calls.

Bluetooth and controls

The OPPO Enco Air4s can connect to two devices at the same time. For example, you can pair the earbuds with a smartphone and a laptop, then switch between them without pairing again.

The earbuds are controlled using touch panels. Users can customize gestures to control playback, switch tracks, and answer or end calls.

The HeyMelody app offers additional features, including earbud tracking, touch-control customization, and a gaming mode.

The manufacturer has not specified the Enco Air4s’ Bluetooth version, supported audio codecs, or signal latency.

Dust and water resistance and durability

The earbuds are rated IP55 for dust and water resistance. This means you can use the Enco Air4s on walks and during workouts without worrying about accidental splashes or sweat. However, they are not designed for swimming or submersion.

OPPO also conducted a series of durability tests. The charging case was tested for resistance to drops from a height of 1.5 meters, while the earbuds were tested from 1.8 meters. The devices were also tested at temperatures of up to 55 °C, and the case’s opening and closing mechanism was tested for more than 20,000 cycles.

Battery life

The OPPO Enco Air4s provide up to 8 hours of continuous music playback with active noise cancellation enabled, and up to 12 hours with it off. Including the charging case, total battery life reaches 43 hours.

According to OPPO, the batteries have been certified by TÜV Rheinland and remain operational after 1,000 full charge cycles. The exact remaining-capacity figure has not been specified.

Fast charging is supported: just 10 minutes in the case provides up to 4 additional hours of music playback.

Release date, colors, and price

Sales of the OPPO Enco Air4s in China began on October 15 at a price of 179 yuan ($27). The earbuds are available in two colors: Sea Blue and Rock Black. A global launch date has not yet been announced. The manufacturer says it will reveal the details later.
