Performance

The smartphone is powered by the aging 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, manufactured using a 6nm process. It includes two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz, while graphics processing is handled by the Arm Mali-G57 MC2 accelerator.

The smartphone is offered with 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of storage. The storage can be expanded using a microSD card of up to 512 GB.

Cameras

A dual camera is installed on the back panel:

  • 64 MP, Sony IMX682 main sensor with autofocus;
  • 2 MP, macro camera.

An LED flash is located nearby. The main camera records video in Full HD resolution at up to 30 frames per second. The front camera has a resolution of 13 MP.

Battery

HMD The Vibe2 Pro 5G is equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery and supports 33W wired charging. A compatible power adapter is included in the box.

Software and connectivity

The smartphone runs on Android 16. HMD promises to release security updates for two years.

The system integrates the Indus AI assistant from Sarvam AI, designed to support 22 Indian languages and local cultural context. The service’s servers and data are hosted in India.

The Sanchar Saathi government platform is also supported, allowing users to check mobile numbers registered to them, report fraudulent calls, and block lost or stolen smartphones. Installing the application remains voluntary.

Among other features are a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, two microphones, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.2.

The body dimensions are 168,4 × 76,3 × 8,3 mm, and the weight is 197 grams.

Release dates, colors, and price

Sales of the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G in India will begin on October 8 via Flipkart. The smartphone will be available in Silver Mist, Aqua Green, and Cosmic Purple colors.

HMD has announced special introductory prices:

  • 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – 14,999 rupees (≈ $156);
  • 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – 16,999 rupees (≈ $177).

There has been no announcement yet regarding the release of the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G outside of India.
