Foldable Vivo X Fold 6 features two bright screens, 7,000 mAh battery, and 200 MP camera

Vivo has introduced the new Vivo X Fold 6, a device that relies not only on its foldable screen but also on a set of flagship specifications.

Screens

Inside is an 8.02-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2504 × 2312 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. On the outside is a 6.51-inch OLED panel BOE with a resolution of 2528 × 1120 pixels and the same specifications as the foldable panel.

Both panels support ultra-low brightness at the 1-nit level, making the smartphone comfortable to use even in complete darkness. Additionally, the screens have received TÜV Rheinland Eye Protection 3.0 certification.

Hardware foundation

The Vivo X Fold 6 is powered by a 3nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset, consisting of four energy-efficient cores at 2.7 GHz, three performance cores at 3.5 GHz, and one primary core with a peak clock speed of 4.21 GHz.

The device also features a ARM Mali G1-Ultra GPU, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM, and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. The battery capacity is 7,000 mAh. It supports 80 W fast wired charging and 40 W wireless charging.

Cameras

The smartphone features a triple main camera tuned by Zeiss:

200 MP Samsung main sensor HPB, 1/1,4″, f/1.68, OIS (CIPA 4.5), 7 lenses;
50 MP Samsung JN1 wide-angle lens, 1/2,76″, f/2.05, autofocus;
50 MP Sony LYT-602 periscope telephoto lens, 1/1,95″, f/2.57, 3x optical zoom (70 mm equivalent focal length), OIS (CIPA 4.5).

The cutouts in both screens house 20 MP selfie cameras (f/2.4, AI, HDR).

Other

It is also worth noting support for 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a USB Type-C port, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC. The list of built-in sensors includes a gravity sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, and IR blaster.

For security, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a face unlock feature. The dimensions when unfolded are 157,16 × 145,66 × 4,40 mm, and when folded they are 157,16 × 74,26 × 9,40 mm. The weight is 228 grams.
