AMD introduced the Ryzen AI Max Pro 495 with 192 GB of unified memory
AMD has expanded its Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 Series professional processor family with the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 model, designed for AI workloads.
The key feature of the new chip is support for up to 192 GB of unified LPDDR5X-8533 memory, shared by the CPU and integrated graphics.
Architecture
The Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 is built on the Zen 5 architecture and features 16 cores and 32 threads. The maximum frequency reaches 5.2 GHz, and the configurable TDP ranges from 45 to 120 W. The chip also includes integrated Radeon 8065S graphics based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture with 40 compute units. For artificial intelligence tasks, it includes an NPU based on the XDNA 2 architecture with performance of up to 55 TOPS.
Memory
The memory subsystem is of particular interest. AMD claims support for up to 192 GB of LPDDR5X with a bandwidth of up to 273 GB/s. Since the CPU and GPU use a shared memory pool, a significant amount can be allocated to the integrated graphics for working with AI models.

In this platform configuration, up to 160 GB can be used as video memory, allowing for the local execution of significantly larger models than on most standard laptops and PCs with integrated graphics.
AI
AMD positions the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 as the foundation for local AI systems. According to the company, the processor is capable of locally running models with over 300 billion parameters at 4-bit quantization. The platform supports Windows 11 and Linux and is designed for development, inference, image generation, and other AI scenarios without constant reliance on cloud services.
Application areas
Furthermore, the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 is not intended solely for laptops. The processor is also designed for desktop systems, compact workstations, and professional mobile computers. AMD is already offering the Ryzen AI Halo Developer Platform based on it—a compact computer with 192 GB of memory, a 2 TB SSD, 10-gigabit Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 7, operating at a TDP of up to 120 W.
