Xiaomi unveiled the SkyNomad N90 Max – an off-road vehicle with a range of 1705 km and a price starting from $40 200
Xiaomi unveiled the large crossover SkyNomad N90 Max with a seven-seat cabin and an EREV powertrain. Alongside it, the SkyNomad N90 Max Explorer Edition debuted, featuring an electric lift roof that transforms the vehicle into a two-level space for travel and camping.
Design and interior of the SkyNomad N90 Max
The Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max measures 5285 mm in length, 1998 mm in width, and 1825 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3080 mm. Its aerodynamic drag coefficient is 0.255.

The vehicle is equipped with Dragonfly headlights featuring cross-shaped light graphics. The high beam illuminates the road up to a distance of 624 meters, while the low beam provides a coverage angle of up to 180°. An air intake is integrated into the hood. The claimed fording depth reaches 750 mm, and an emergency buoyancy function is also provided.
The standard configuration includes 21-inch wheels with 255/45 R21 tires at the front and 265/45 R21 tires at the rear.

The N90 Max salon seats seven people in a 2+2+3 configuration and supports 11 transformation options. The front seats can be ordered with a 180° swivel function or in the Zero Gravity version. The second row also features Zero Gravity seats with massage, ventilation, and heating, while the third row includes heating. The maximum cargo space reaches 1831 liters.
Three color schemes are available for the interior: Sand Ceramic Beige, Midnight Black, and Mocha Brown.

The front panel features an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 20-inch head-up display, and a central screen with a 16.1-inch diagonal. The multimedia system runs on Xiaomi HyperOS based on the Qualcomm 8650 automotive processor. Equipment also includes a removable 6.88-inch rear passenger control screen, a 25-speaker audio system, and an optional 21.4-inch ceiling display.

A central module is installed between the front seats, which moves along rails. It includes four cup holders, two smartphone slots, a 6.6-liter compartment, a 9-liter compressor refrigerator, and connectors for additional equipment.
SkyNomad N90 Max Explorer Edition
The main difference of the Explorer Edition is its integrated electric lift roof. In the closed position, it increases the vehicle height by approximately 100 mm. The claimed aerodynamic drag coefficient is 0.245.

After raising the roof, the cabin becomes a two-level space with a maximum internal height of 2294 mm. The upper zone measures 2110 × 985 mm and supports a load of up to 200 kg. It includes lighting, two air ducts for the climate system, an 18 W USB-C port, magnetic mounting points, and mosquito nets.

The Explorer Edition is designed for five people. The second-row seats fold electronically and, in approximately 30 seconds, form a flat sleeping area measuring 1,87 × 1,24 meters. Heating and ventilation for the seats remain available.
The cabin features 1.7 m² of wood-textured aluminum flooring with three-stage heating up to 38 °C. It also includes a built-in wardrobe, bedside shelf, soft ambient lighting, and a 30-inch projection system.
Engines and Range
Both versions are built on the Xiaomi Kunlun platform and use a series hybrid EREV system. The wheels are driven exclusively by electric motors, while the 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 112 kW operates as a generator.

Two electric motors deliver a combined output of 310 kW (416 hp) and provide all-wheel drive. The traction battery NMC has a capacity of 76 kWh, and the fuel tank holds 60 liters.
The SkyNomad N90 Max travels up to 464 km on electric power under the CLTC cycle, with a total range reaching 1705 km. A 15-minute fast charge can replenish energy for approximately 285 km of driving. Fuel consumption with a depleted battery is rated at 6.26 liters per 100 km under WLTC.
The Explorer Edition, due to its modified design, has a slightly reduced range: up to 462 km on electric power and up to 1688 km in combined mode.
Both versions accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, with a top speed of 190 km/h. The front suspension uses a double wishbone setup, while the rear features a multi-link design. Air suspension with five adjustment levels and shock absorbers with continuously variable damping are also available.
Safety and driver assistance systems
The vehicle’s body structure uses thermoformed steel with strength up to 2200 MPa and includes an integrated safety cage. The N90 Max is equipped with 12 airbags.

Driver assistance systems operate on the NVIDIA Thor-U platform with a performance of 700 TOPS and utilize the Xiaomi HAD XLA model. The sensor suite includes a roof-mounted LiDAR, a rear-facing solid-state LiDAR, a millimeter-wave 4D radar, 11 high-resolution cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors.
The system supports highway and urban street driving assistance, as well as automatic parking functions.
