Honor unveils WIN Turbo 2 with a 12,070 mAh battery and 185 Hz display
Honor has unveiled the WIN Turbo 2 gaming smartphone in China, featuring a 12,070 mAh battery, a 185 Hz display, and a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. Unlike the Honor WIN 2 and WIN RT2, the new model has no built-in fan. Its starting price, after discount, is $479.
Design
The Honor WIN Turbo 2 has a gaming-inspired design, with flat sides, rounded corners, and a large rear camera module. The bezels around the display are uniformly 0.93 mm wide. The phone comes in three colors: Red/Blue Buff, Quick Black, and Designated Win.

The smartphone measures 163 × 78 × 8,5 mm and weighs 235 grams. Unlike the more expensive WIN 2 and WIN RT2, it has no built-in fan. Heat is dissipated by a passive cooling system.
The body is rated IP68, IP69, and IP69K for dust and water resistance, including protection against high-pressure water jets. However, the manufacturer warns that this protection may diminish over time.
Display
The smartphone features a flat 6.89-inch LTPS OLED display with a resolution of 3104 × 1440 pixels (2K) and a refresh rate of up to 185 Hz. It supports 144, 165, and 185 Hz modes, although the maximum refresh rate is not available in all apps and games.

The claimed peak brightness is 10,000 nits. High-frequency PWM dimming is used to reduce flicker: its default frequency is 3840 Hz and can rise to 5920 Hz in 144, 165, and 185 Hz modes.
Image processing is handled by a dedicated WIN Display chip, while touch input is managed by the WIN Touch chip. The instantaneous touch sampling rate reaches 5000 Hz in games, and the sampling rate for simultaneous ten-finger touches is 520 Hz. The phone also has a gyroscope with a sampling rate of up to 800 Hz.
The display supports HDR and upscaling short videos to 2K, and has TÜV Rheinland certifications for eye protection and reduced flicker. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is located under the display.
Performance and audio
The Honor WIN Turbo 2 is powered by the 4 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, an eight-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 3.21 GHz and an Adreno 825 GPU.
The smartphone comes with 8, 12, or 16 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage. Honor’s proprietary Phantom Engine is used to optimize gaming performance.
Audio is delivered by two symmetrical 1216-format speakers with acoustic chambers totaling 16.7 cm³ and a 12 W amplifier. Gaming audio effects are supported, including software-based amplification of opponents’ footsteps. The vibration motor can produce 70 types of haptic feedback for in-game events.
Cameras
The main camera features a 50 MP Sony sensor measuring 1/2 inch, an f/1.9 aperture, and optical image stabilization. The manufacturer claims stabilization performance of CIPA 6.0.

The secondary ultra-wide camera has a 12 MP resolution and an f/2.2 aperture. A 50 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture is on the front.
Both the main and front cameras support video recording at up to 4K and 60 fps.
Battery
The Honor WIN Turbo 2 is equipped with a Qinghai Lake 5.0 silicon-carbon battery with a typical capacity of 12,070 mAh. Its rated capacity is 11,790 mAh. A dedicated Honor E2 chip monitors the battery’s condition.
The phone supports wired charging at up to 90 W and wired reverse charging at up to 27 W. It also supports bypass charging, which powers the smartphone’s components directly during gameplay without charging the battery.
According to Honor’s own tests, a full charge is enough for 17.7 hours of continuous gaming, 31.5 hours of watching short videos, or 56.6 hours of pedestrian navigation. These figures have not yet been independently verified.
Software and connectivity
The smartphone runs MagicOS 11, based on Android 17. Software features include quick returns to games, background updates for game files, and data sharing with devices from other manufacturers. Some features for interacting with Apple devices will arrive in a software update.
A dedicated Honor C3 radio-frequency chip is installed to improve connectivity. LINK Turbo X technology can use Wi-Fi and the mobile network simultaneously to reduce latency when the connection is unstable.
Other features include:
- 5G networks and dual nano-SIM cards;
- Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0;
- NFC and an infrared transmitter;
- GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS satellite systems;
- A USB Type-C port with a USB 2.0 interface;
- Face unlock.
