iQOO Pad Ultra unveiled as a compact mini-tablet for gamers
The iQOO Pad Ultra is designed for mobile gamers and combines a compact body, a 9,020 mAh battery, and an active cooling system with a built-in fan.
Display
The iQOO Pad Ultra features an 8.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2304 × 1440 pixels, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. The symmetrical bezels are 2.65 mm thick, and the screen occupies 93.3% of the front panel.
The panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, supports HDR10+, and reaches a local peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The maximum full-screen brightness in automatic mode is 1,600 nits.
The instantaneous touch sampling rate reaches 5,000 Hz, and 500 Hz for multi-finger touches. The stated response time of the OLED panel is less than 1 ms.
Performance and cooling
The tablet is powered by a 2nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor combined with an iQOO Q4 gaming chip, which handles graphics processing, frame interpolation, and additional visual effects in supported games.
Cooling is handled by a five-level Ice Dome system with a 30 × 30 × 3,5 mm fan. Its rotation speed reaches 14,500 rpm, the airflow is 0.94 CFM, and the heat dissipation area through the fan is 1,661 mm².
The system also includes a dual vapor chamber with a total area of 12,118 mm² and a separate copper heat spreader over the processor. The total heat dissipation area reaches 23,253 mm².
The fan supports three modes: quiet, smart, and maximum. It can turn on automatically when the temperature rises, when games are launched, or during fast charging.
Configurations are available with 12 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Battery and other features
Housed in a 5.74 mm thick metal body weighing 298 grams is a 9,020 mAh Blue Ocean silicon-carbon battery with support for 66W wired charging via USB-C.
For gaming, the device features two linear X-axis vibration motors with immersive haptic feedback, a high-sensitivity 500 Hz gyroscope, and a dedicated Wi-Fi signal enhancement chip. Audio is delivered through two symmetrical stereo speakers.
The 13 MP main camera features a 1/3,06-inch GalaxyCore GC13A0 sensor, while the 8 MP front camera uses a 1/4-inch GC08A3 sensor. The rear panel also includes a customizable RGB ring light with six visual effects.
Software and gaming capabilities
The iQOO Pad Ultra runs on Android 17 with the OriginOS 7 HD skin. The Game Space hub integrates mobile, cloud, and PC games.
Two modes are available for PC games: local execution of compatible titles via a built-in emulator with Steam authorization, and streaming from a computer. The Tencent START cloud service is also supported.
The Atomic Workbench mode allows you to display up to five applications simultaneously without overlapping windows. File sharing and clipboard synchronization with compatible vivo smartphones are also supported.
Additional accessories include the G1 sliding gaming controller with microswitch buttons, Hall effect joysticks, and a pass-through USB-C port, as well as a rear mount and a dual-sided case.
Release dates, colors, and price
The iQOO Pad Ultra is available in Star Armor Silver and End Shadow Black. Pre-orders in China opened on September 29, and sales will begin on October 15, 2026.
Official prices in China:
- 12 GB RAM + 256 GB – 6,499 yuan (≈ $968);
- 16 GB RAM + 256 GB – 7,199 yuan (≈ $1073);
- 16 GB RAM + 512 GB – 7,999 yuan (≈ $1192);
- 16 GB RAM + 1 TB – 8,999 yuan (≈ $1341).
The starting price of the base version has been reduced to 5,999 yuan (≈ $894). The international release date and official European pricing have not yet been announced.
